The culprit? A “premium” script pack I’d bought from a Discord seller just hours earlier for $150. What I thought was a legitimate business turned out to be nothing more than stolen GitHub code with a fancy sales pitch.
This was my expensive introduction to the dark side of the FiveM marketplace — a world where legitimate developers work alongside script thieves, where GitHub repositories are repackaged and sold as “premium” content, and where new server owners are seen as easy targets for quick cash grabs.
