I stared at the screen, coffee growing cold in my hand, as the reality sank in. Our community of 450 active players, two years of character development, thousands of hours of roleplay history, and a thriving Discord server with 2,000 members — all of it was sitting on hardware that would be powered off in exactly 29 days and 14 hours.

This wasn’t just a technical challenge; it was a community crisis waiting to happen. Players don’t care about hosting providers or server migrations — they care about their characters, their stories, and their friends. One wrong move, one extended outage, one lost database, and years of community building could evaporate as players drift away to more stable servers.
